About the Tour
This 9-night,10-day Cape Town, Victoria Falls & Kruger Park non-scheduled private journey which starts and ends in Cape Town will provide you with highlights of Southern Africa. From staying in the world-renowned city of Cape Town to exploring the iconic Kruger National Park and bearing witness to the majestic Victoria Falls. Accommodation throughout this trip will be a luxurious affair.
Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town
A driver will be waiting at Cape Town International Airport to transfer you to the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. Arriving at the hotel After you are checked into your rooms, the rest of the afternoon is spent at your own leisure.

Day 2: Cape Peninsula Tour
This morning after breakfast you depart for your guided tour of the Cape Peninsula. Departing from your hotel via the Atlantic Seaboard in the direction of Hout Bay. It is a lively, trendy part of the city where the beauty of the surroundings is matched only by the beauty of the people. The suburb of Llandudno is dramatically situated against giant granite boulders which keep it all but hidden from the rest of the Peninsula. The historic and picturesque town of Hout Bay has always been a popular destination.
A seaside village that is alive with the sounds and smells of the forest and the sea. Take a cruise to view the seal colony at Duiker Island. Enjoy the crisp, clear air and a spectacular view from one of the Cape’s most visited attractions, Cape Point. After lunch visit one of only two breeding colonies of the Jackass penguins on the African mainland in the charming naval town of Simons Town.

Day 3: Cape Winelands Tour
Depart in the direction of the Hottentots Holland Mountains to enjoy the many wine estates of the Helderberg Wine Route, where the personalities of the wines are influenced by the proximity to the ocean and its cooling summer sea breezes. Depart for Stellenbosch, the second oldest European settlement in the country. The picturesque region boasts a multitude of wine estates and cellars where wine-tastings, cellar tours, and meals can be enjoyed. Also visit the Village Museum Complex and Oom Samie se Winkel, a traditional general dealer before we continue to Franschoek. The tranquil valley cradling the town of Franschoek is one of the country’s most awe-inspiring landscapes, and one of its most prolific wine-producing areas. After more wine tastings, I spent some time exploring the towns many restaurants, bistros and shops and a visit to the Huguenot Monument.

Day 4: Cape Town to Victoria Falls
This morning after breakfast you can do some last-minute shopping before needing to check out and transferred to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Zambia. A driver will be waiting to transfer you to The David Livingstone Hotel in Zambia. After checking into your rooms, you can relax before dinner that evening.

Day 5: Victoria Falls Guided Tour
This morning after breakfast your guide will come to pick you up for your guided tour of Victoria Falls.
Described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800’s as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘the Smoke that Thunders’ and in more modern terms as ‘the greatest known curtain of falling water’, Victoria Falls are a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, bordering Zambia and Zimbabwe. A path along the edge of the forest provides the visitor who is prepared to brave the tremendous spray with an unparalleled series of views of the Falls. One special vantage point is across the Knife-edge Bridge, where visitors can have the finest view of the Eastern Cataract and the Main Falls as well as the Boiling Pot where the river turns and heads down the Batoka Gorge.
You return to the hotel in the mid-morning, you can then relax before your sunset cruise that afternoon. The Zambezi River cruise is a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the River. You may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippo, crocodile and elephant in their home environment, as well as enjoy the many different bird species.

Day 6: Victoria Falls to Johannesburg
Today you check out after breakfast and will be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your flight to OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg. There you will be collected and transferred to the hotel. After checking in to your hotel, the rest of the afternoon is spent at your own leisure.

Day 7: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
An early start will see your driver pick you up from your hotel for your transfer to Kruger National Park. Arriving at the Lodge you are checked into your rooms and have time to freshen up before your afternoon/sunset safari drive where you will sip a sundowner as you watch the sky turn from the brilliance of an African sunset to a bright band of stars. You head back to the lodge after the drive where dinner in the open-air boma or thatched dining room will be waiting for you.

Day 8-9: Morning & Afternoon Safaris
Since Lukimbi Safari Lodge is bounded by three major river systems, the extensive 15 000-hectare area offers a diverse array of habitats, from grasslands to wooded areas and lush riverine thickets. No 4×4 safari is ever the same or predictable. It’s about being in the right place at the right time, with the right people to show you where to look. Safaris go out mornings and afternoons. An incomparable way to get in touch with Africa. Safaris take place twice daily on our private roads, the first leaving in the early morning and the second in the afternoon. Off-road driving is permitted under strictly controlled circumstances. Optional Activity. After breakfast, a morning guided walk is offered or guests can relax around the pool or on their decks.

Day 10: Departure Day
We depart again on another safari on the last morning before arriving back at the Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you have time to check out before being transferred to Nelspruit Airport for your return flight to Cape Town.
