This amazing 7 day once in a lifetime African safari experience departs on Monday morning from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport. Intimate and comfortable yet simplistic, combined with excellent service creates a traditional African safari feel to your journey. You can be forgiven for thinking you were transported back in time to an unspoiled and unexplored Africa like the explorers from a bye-gone era discovered Africa.

Itinerary

This authentic African safari experience has a scheduled departure each Monday morning from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport at 11:00 am.

Intimate and comfortable yet simplistic, combined with excellent service creates a traditional African safari feel to your journey. You can be forgiven for thinking you were transported back in time to an unspoiled and unexplored Africa like the explorers from a bye-gone era discovered Africa.

 

Day 1: Transfer from Johannesburg to Tsendze Camp in the Kruger Park

Your adventure starts from Johannesburg ‘OR Tambo Airport. Departing Johannesburg, we head east and travel towards the Kruger National Park.

Arriving late afternoon at Tsendze Camp in the Kruger Park, there is time to freshen up before a campfire dinner. After dinner, spend some time around the fire sharing stories of the day before retiring to your tent for a good night’s rest.

Day 2: Sunrise & Night Safari Drives in the Kruger Park

Early morning your guide will explain the day’s events before you depart on an open game viewing vehicle in search of the Big 5 animals like Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant, and Buffalo, as well as an array of antelope and other wildlife animals that can be found in the Kruger.

Arriving back at the camp after the safari drive, you are invited to relax and enjoy brunch at your own leisure. After brunch, there is time to walk around the camp and make good use of the time to catch up on some sleep or simply enjoy the absolute tranquillity of the bush.

Well-rested, you make your enjoy high tea (light lunch) before departing on a sunset drive. After the exhilarating drive we return to camp. Tonight dinner will be a wilderness bush braai( barbeque). After dinner enjoy an early night’s rest or stargaze before retiring for the evening.

Day 3: Morning Bush Walk & Night Safari Drive in the Kruger Park

A new experience awaits the more adventurous today as you embark on a walking safari with a Ranger. Experience nature in a unique way with the possibility of spotting the Big Five. The art of tracking wildlife and the simplicity of exploring on foot makes this kind of hike particularly memorable. You return to the camp for a well-deserved brunch.

Arriving back at the camp after the safari drive, you are invited to relax and enjoy brunch at your own leisure. After brunch, there is time to walk around the camp and make good use of the time to catch up on some sleep or simply enjoy the absolute tranquillity of the bush.

Day 4: Morning Safari & Transfer to Manyeleti Game Reserve

There is time today for a last sunrise safari drive in the Kruger before we make our way to the Manyeleti Game Reserve. After brunch, we make our way through the Mopani Region en-route to the Manyeleti Game Reserve.

We stop to enjoy lunch at a Main Rest Camp before departing the Kruger into the Manyeleti Game Reserve. On arrival at the Distinctly Africa Camp, you will get a brief camp orientation and then checked into your room. There is time to freshen up before dinner. After dinner, spend retire to your bungalow for a good night’s rest.

Day 5-6: Morning & Sunset Safari Drives in the Manyeleti Game Reserve

Your guide will explain the morning’s events before departing on an open game viewing vehicle through the Manyeleti Game Reserve. You will have the opportunity to spot the Big 5 animals like Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant, and Buffalo, as well as an array of antelope and other wildlife animals that can be found in the Reserve. Arriving back at the camp after the safari drive, you are invited to relax and enjoy brunch at your own leisure. After brunch, there is time to walk around the camp or have a swim (depending upon the season of course). Make good use of this time to catch up on some sleep or simply enjoy the absolute tranquillity of the bush from the comfort of your room.

Hopefully feeling totally relaxed and well-rested, you make your way to the restaurant area for a light lunch including sandwiches and snacks, fruit juices and ice-cold drinks. Your guide meets you in the restaurant area and you depart on an afternoon safari drive in the Manyeleti Game Reserve. You make your way back to the camp after an exhilarating drive where dinner will be waiting for you. Dinner is served, and you have a choice from a three-course meal including starters, main course, and dessert. After dinner enjoy an early night’s rest or stargaze from the deck in front of your air-conditioned room. On day 6 there is a wild bush braai(barbeque) experience in the wilderness of the Reserve.

Day 7: Bush Walk & Transfer to Johannesburg via the Panorama Route

Early morning you embark on a walking safari with a Ranger. Experience nature in a unique way with the possibility of spotting the Big Five. The art of tracking wildlife and the simplicity of exploring on foot makes this kind of hike particularly memorable. Return to camp for brunch before

After brunch, we depart the camp and travel via the scenic Panorama Route through beautiful landscapes and quaint towns, with highlights including God’s Window, Lisbon Falls and Graskop before dropping you off at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport or the hotel where you will be staying.

Child Policy:

  • Children of all ages are permitted at the Camp.
  • 12 years and older: Considered as adults and accommodated in their own rooms.
  • 12 years and older: Pay full adult rates and are permitted on safaris.
